Description: This photograph is a part of a series of photographs taken by the Department of Agriculture documenting farms in Ohio. Pictured is farm equipment on the farm of W. I. Chamberlain, located one mile north of Hudson, Ohio, in Summit County. Chamberlain (1837-1920) served at one time as Secretary of the Ohio Board of Agriculture. At the time of this photograph in 1910, Chamberlain had 113 acres, including 15 acres in old orchard and 10 acres in young orchard, 12 acres of potatoes, 400 maple trees and a sugar camp. Description: This photograph shows Whitney tractor pulling wagons loaded with people for Sunday school picnic. Storefronts and people watching can be seen in the background, including a sign that reads: "Vogel's big sale" and a partially-visible mural that reads: "The old, reliable, genuine 'Bull.'" Photograph by Harry Evan Kinley (1882-1969), a native of Upper Sandusky. Kinley was active in local events and organizations, and spent his professional career as a clerk at his father's department store, and later as a travelling salesman for the Marion Paper & Supply Company (1934-1962). He was also an avid lifelong photographer, and the bulk of the Harry Kinley Collection is comprised of glass plate negatives documenting the Kinley family, the city of Upper Sandusky and Wyandot County and surrounding areas.
